I’d been feeling like eating sausages for a while and I decided to make some myself even though I’ve never cooked them before… So I just put them in a pan on the stove with some oil… They turned out alright but I think  put too much oil because they taste oily and I couldn’t find any paper towel so I had to have a very green salad with them to try and balance it out. Also the oil in the pan turned like really, really yellow… was that normal?

I still have three uncooked ones left so if anyone has suggestions on how to cook them nicely, tips or something that would be appreciated.

  1. The tricky thing with sausages is that some of the fat from the meat will come out of them too. So you only need a little bit to make sure that they don’t stick to the pan. The yellow leftover is probably this fat from the meat.

You can also do sausages under the griller, put some water in the bottom part, prick the sausages with a fork so they don’t burst and turn them a few times. This is even healthier than frying because it uses no extra oil. You have to be careful not to burn or overcook!

Of course you could probably start BBQing them too – and maybe at the same time you can also BBQ thick slices of zucchini or eggplant and capsicum – so yum! Also corn on the cob is delicious – especially if you brush it with soy sauce and butter – sounds a bit odd – but all so yum! Maybe ask Santa for a little grill like a hibachi?
