Chili Con Carneval
It’s been a long while since I’ve done a proper post instead of my tweetings, so we’ll see if I can recall how to do this. So, I spent the afternoon slaving over a hot stove to bring you this bubbling pot of deliciousness. Pre-cooked some 90/10 ground beef and drained off some of the grease, sliced up two white onions and a green pepper and threw them into the pot, along with a liberal dusting of chili powder and black pepper, added the tinned tomatoes, then the beef and kidney beans, mixed in the tomato paste and A1 sauce and let it go coming back every once in a while to give it a stir and a taste and some more chili powder and black pepper until it tasted right and was warm enough, but not too warm because I wasn’t the only one who would be eating it. Around five and a half hours later we dug in along with some rather stale and unimpressive sourdough bread. Personally I would have preferred it much much spicier but, it was still delicious.

  1. I usually don’t wait that long but the other parties weren’t going to be eating until then so I held off myself.. now I kind of want to make my recipe: MOAR different beans, hotter chiles and powders etc etc etc
