One year ago today, I started blogging my dinners, and already we’re over 1,000 posts. But, some things never change, and tonight’s dinner was a caesar salad. The twist was the marinade I made for the chicken: another in my series of Vaguely Asian™ marinades, with lots of orange zest and some Sriracha sauce. It was tangy and orangey, without being cloying and candylike, as so many orange sauces are. J complimented me on it, saying it was one of the best I’d ever come up with, which was flattering, ’cause I just whipped it up on the spot. The salad this year had croutons AND tomatoes, by the way. And for dessert, as a special treat for the anniversary, a yummy german chocolate cake from Feel Good Bakery at the co-op on Park St. MMMMmmmm.
Happy anniversary, y’all. Enjoy your dinner and everyone else’s and thanks!

Wheeee! Cake! Wheeeeeee! One year!
can i have the recipe for the german chocolate cake? it looks tasty~~
It’s a pretty simple recipe actually. If you live in the Bay Area, all you have to do is drive to Alameda and visit the Feel Good Bakery at the Alameda Marketplace on Park St. and you’re good to go. And yes, it was every bit as good as it looked
Happy Anniversary, Dinner Eaters!
