There wasn’t much interest in cooking here tonight so we ordered some Indian food from The Indian Palace here in Alameda. It was great and there’s plenty left over for snacking or lunch tomorrow.
We had assorted Tandoori (2 pieces each of Botti kabab, Chicken tikka and Seekh kabab) and assorted vegetables (2 pieces each of Vegetable Samosa, Vegetable Pakora, Gobi Pakora and Potato Pakora) and Raita along with Pappadam for appetizers then Mulligatawny Soup followed by Chicken Tikka Masala and Rogan Josh for the main courses plus Saffron rice. We also ordered Garlic Nan and Onion Kulcha for bread. For a beverage we both had Mango Lassi and for dessert it was Kheer.
Now, honestly, I don’t know a lot about Indian food other then when it’s good it’s really good and when it’s bad it’s really bad. But, this was the good variety and a real treat as it’s not something we often eat.
