Hyakunincho Yataimura

We met up with friends at a sort of Asian foodcourt place near Okubo. We hadn’t been to Yataimura in years; it hadn’t changed and didn’t disappoint. From a ridiculously lengthy menu of regional Asian delicacies we ordered:

  • crab fried rice
  • deep fried tofu with vegetables
  • kuishinsai (morning glory stems) with garlic
  • Sechuan-style white fish
  • braised squid with celery
  • green papaya salad
  • pumpkin mochi
  • boiled peanuts (for zoupi)

And plenty of beer to wash it all down.
